MaiThai® Herbal Blend – Ingredients and Composition
The MaiThai® Herbal Blend combines several plant-based ingredients with one mushroom. Despite the term “herbal blend”, the composition is more diverse than the name may suggest. It includes fruits, a rhizome, a tuber, birch sap and other ingredients of plant origin.

The new MaiThai® formula is planned to contain ten ingredients: nine ingredients of plant origin and one mushroom. The product is expected to be offered as tablets. Adjustments remain possible before launch, and the ingredient list on the final product label will take precedence.
What is the MaiThai® Herbal Blend?
MaiThai® is a blend combining ingredients from several plants with one mushroom.
The term “herbal blend” is used as a practical general description. It is not a strict botanical classification, because not every ingredient in the blend is an herb.
The ingredients belong to several different categories, including fruits, a rhizome, a tuber, plant sap and other plant-derived materials.
Which ingredients are included in the MaiThai® Herbal Blend?
The following table shows the ten ingredients currently planned for the new formula and provides a general classification of each one.

Important: the table provides a general classification of the ingredients. It does not necessarily describe the exact raw-material form used in the finished product. The ingredient list on the final product label will be definitive.
Why does MaiThai® contain more than herbs?
The term “herbal blend” is used in a broad and practical sense. From a botanical perspective, the ingredients belong to several different categories.
- Fruits: schisandra, Cape gooseberry, papaya and custard apple
- Rhizome: turmeric
- Tuber: tiger nut
- Plant sap: birch sap
- Other plant-based ingredients: fenugreek and safflower
- Mushroom: False Saffron Milkcap
This classification describes the composition more accurately without treating every component as an herb in the botanical sense.
Plant, plant part and raw material – what is the difference?
To describe an ingredient accurately, it is useful to distinguish between the source organism, the part used and the form of the raw material.

| Raw material | The actual form used in the product, such as dried material, powder or another preparation. |
| Final product | The form in which the individual ingredients are combined. |
This distinction is particularly useful for MaiThai®, because the ingredients do not all belong to the same biological group and are not all the same type of raw material.

Where do the ingredients come from?
The origin of a plant ingredient can be described in several different ways. A species may be associated with different regions depending on which type of origin is being considered.
It is useful to distinguish:
- Natural range: the region in which a species occurs naturally
- Present distribution: the regions in which the species occurs today, including areas outside its natural range
- Cultivation areas: regions in which the plant is cultivated
- Historical or cultural association: regions with which the plant is particularly connected through its history or use
- Raw-material origin: the country or region from which the actual ingredient used in a product originates
These are not necessarily the same. A plant may now be cultivated far beyond its natural range, while its historical or cultural association may relate to a different geographical area.

Is the composition final?
The composition shown here reflects the new MaiThai® formula currently planned for launch.
The launch is planned for the end of September 2026, so minor adjustments may still be made before release. Once the product is available, the ingredient list and other information on the product label will take precedence.
